Develop a regional consortium of health care professionals/institutions that will identify resources that can address the critical skill health care shortages in southeastern/central Illinois.
• Identify education and training needs for
incumbent as well as new entrants into the
workforce;
• Develop and implement new health care
programs that meet critical skill shortage needs;
• Identify funding opportunities through local,
state, and federal agencies for health
care grants;
• Address critical skill shortages/needs by
applying regional solutions;
• Increase career awareness of health care jobs;
and
• Create a regional health care information-
sharing forum.
